Join LiveGreenUSA, in partnership with the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC), and MCTI of MIZZOU in helping cities secure federal funding (LCTM) for sustainable road construction using low-carbon materials—offering a unique opportunity for your city to lead in innovation and infrastructure resilience.
At LiveGreenUSA, we are spearheading a regional effort to secure federal funding for sustainable road construction through the Low Carbon Transportation Materials (LCTM) grant program. Our goal is to help cities across Kansas and Missouri adopt innovative, eco-friendly materials such as recycled rubber, plastic, and concrete in their infrastructure projects. These materials not only reduce greenhouse gas emissions but also improve road durability, contributing to cost savings over time.
In collaboration with the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) and the University of Missouri’s Missouri Center for Transportation Innovation (MCTI), LiveGreenUSA is coordinating a unified grant application to maximize participation and increase cities' chances of securing funding for sustainable road projects.
By joining the LCTM initiative, your city gains access to federal funding and the expertise needed to incorporate low-carbon materials into road construction. Here’s why you should participate:
Access to Federal Funding: Secure a portion of the $800 million available through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) for cities that implement sustainable construction practices.
Collaborative Effort: Cities across Kansas and Missouri will join forces, increasing the success rate of receiving funding and setting a national example of innovation.
Expert Guidance: LiveGreenUSA, MARC, and MCTI offer expert support, including assistance with Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) to ensure projects meet sustainability standards.
Sustainable Infrastructure: Build more resilient, longer-lasting roads by incorporating recycled materials like plastic and rubber into your pavement projects, reducing the need for frequent maintenance and raw materials.
We are currently gathering Letters of Intent (LOI) from cities interested in joining this collective application. To confirm your city's involvement:
Submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) by [DATE] to signal your interest in the LCTM initiative.
Commit to exploring sustainable materials in your future road projects.
Benefit from full support and technical assistance from LiveGreenUSA and MCTI throughout the grant process.
